Well done! I love what you are doing and the ethos behind it. I always get disappointed when there is a disconnect between the brand values and the output of a person/brand. The worst disconnect I am seeing was a brand about minimalism that was sending 3-4 busy newsletters out each week.
I love the fact that you are truly aligned. Thank you for that.
Love your reflections at the one year point. I’ve been following along since your initial post and running my own 2x20. You inspired me to post an update on LinkedIn. Thank you for the continued inspiration and impact you have on my life - even from afar.
Ha, you know me. I make logos for breakfast. Just too much fun not to! Trying to find ways to keep things light during the experimentation phase, so I have more energy, clarity and confidence for the build side.
I just finished listening to the episode and now subscribed to your Substack! I can’t get over your open approach with joy and acceptance of whatever the outcome - what a game changing mindset to do life experiment to with. I’m only 31 (with a 3&5 year old) and while 20 years seems like light years away, I would love to try a 6 mo x 5 years (because even a 1x10 seems unfathomable [you man in 10 years I will have teenagers?!]). Thank you for the inspiration and well done you for being vulnerable in this life and your experiments and with us by sharing your journey!
Thanks, Elaina. It's just a much more forgiving approach to work and life, even though there tends to be a lot of pressure to focus and build out of the gate, and view success as a mandate. Love the idea of 6 months and 5 years, too. It's all about adapting the concept to your life, not the other way around.
Hey Tara - There's been such strong response for the individual coaching and retreat that I've decided to suspend the group coaching side of things for now, and will likely add a few more individual spots (the first ones were taken in less than 10 minutes). And I may reintroduce group work in the fall, when schedules, vacations and travel might allow for easier commitment to a group calendar. Or not, there is also another potential central experiment around making brewing that could well take much of my time.
My Notes From Self is an experiment - no idea where it will lead me or how long it will go on for but feels really good to put things out there quickly, simply, without the overthinking and overworking that has historically slowed me down. Always appreciate the reminder and encouragement to experiment.
Thank you for taking us behind the scenes and showing how you allowed, listened and took small steps. It reminds me of what Rick Rubin said, "It is possible to make something great very quickly." Well done!
Been following you from the beginning. Always when I in a transition point in life I find something inspiring in what you write. I apparently started doing my 2x20 without even realizing it. Reframing what I am going through now with what I read makes this journey that much clearer. Thanks!

Always trying to keep things aligned, Heather. Though, I often fail at that, as well. Ah, the joys of being human together!

Awesome to see you in your element JF! Thanks for leading the way
Hey, Kyle! Been a minute. So nice to see you here.
It has! But I still love following what you're up to. Hope you and Stephanie are well 😊
Before I read your opening about the Logo, I thought “Snap! JF got a new logo!”
LOVE the lab work here! Amazing what can get created when we’re not over thinking or complicating things. Retreat space looks totally incredible!

Hi Jonathan, do you have times and time zone of the coaching sessions?

Love that, Maghan. And, so nice to be able to hold some things in life lightly, even ones that might hold great potential.

Thanks, Cara. I love finding the simplest ways to test ideas and build around them...or not.
Loved the podcast on this!
